why Senigallia

The coast of Senigallia, which has the fame to be one of the most picturesque seaside towns of the Marche region, is well appreciated for its very fine golden sand and a clear, clean and shallow sea.

Symbol of this spectacular beach is definitely the famous "Rotonda sul mare", a marine platform built in the 1930s. Since then, it became an intriguing and charming place for dancing evenings and pleasant afternoons. Recently it has been restored to its former glory. The Rotonda is now a big and important showcase for all the original events of the contemporary culture.

For you who enjoy big nights out, or just simply going out for a few drinks, the seafront promenade of Senigallia is the place to go. Many bars right on the beach, disco clubs , pubs and live music are all there.

Besides being a nice seaside town where to spend your summer holidays relaxing in the sun and having fun, Senigallia is also an interesting beautiful old town. The city centre is the perfect place to discover many architectural and artistic beauties of the past: the Rocca Roveresca, the Baviera Palace, the Duca Palace, the Fountain of Lions, Piazza Roma and the Neptune's Fountain, the Mastai Palace, which displays some precious objects belong to Pope Pius IX, the wonderful Annonario Forum, the new theatre La Fenice and the Musinf, museum of modern art, information and photography.

Just a few miles from the coast towards inland and you are in the beautiful countryside of the Marche region. The towns of Corinaldo, Ostra, Ostra Vetere, are some of the most beautiful Italian medieval villages. Other places that definitely deserve a day trip are the famous Frasassi caves, Loreto and Urbino.
